WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This Limited Warranty does not apply to any of the following conditions.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR
Normal wear and tear is expected throughout the life of any floor coating system and is not considered a defect in materials or workmanship. This includes, but is not limited to, minor scratches, scuffs, abrasions, loss of gloss or changes in sheen over time, surface wear in high-traffic areas, cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the coating’s adhesion or performance, tire abrasion or friction wear, chipping, scratching, or coating wear caused by repeated turning of vehicle tires while stationary, wheel spin, burnouts, drifting, aggressive acceleration, hard braking, damage caused by dropped tools, motorcycles, bicycles, floor jacks, jack stands, rolling equipment, metal wheels, sharp objects, excessive point loads, or impact. These conditions are considered the result of normal use and are not covered under this warranty.
IMPROPER MAINTENANCE OR MISUSE
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper cleaning or maintenance, neglect, misuse, abuse, exposure to extreme temperatures beyond the intended use of the coating system, or repairs, alterations, or modifications performed by anyone other than Better Concrete Coatings LLC or its authorized representatives.
SUBSTRATE AND MOISTURE CONDITIONS
This warranty does not cover failures resulting from existing or future concrete cracks, concrete movement or settling, peeling caused by defective or deteriorating concrete, moisture vapor transmission, hydrostatic pressure exceeding eight (8) pounds, or any substrate-related condition beyond the control of Better Concrete Coatings LLC. If coating removal is required and moisture testing cannot be completed during the estimate, any moisture reading of six (6) or greater will require the installation of a Moisture Vapor Barrier (MVB) at an additional cost. Declining the recommended MVB installation will void this warranty.
CHEMICAL AND PLASTICIZER DAMAGE
This warranty does not cover staining, discoloration, softening, or other damage caused by plasticizer migration from vehicle tires, rubber-backed floor mats, rubber wheels, storage bins, equipment feet, plastic containers, petroleum-based mats, or other external materials. Damage resulting from chemical migration, battery acid, brake fluid, industrial chemicals, solvents, corrosive substances, or similar contaminants is also excluded from warranty coverage.
EXTERIOR AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This warranty excludes damage resulting from flooding, standing water, natural disasters, fire, earthquakes, freeze-thaw movement, excessive ultraviolet (UV) exposure beyond normal weathering, acts of God, accidents, casualty losses, or any other environmental conditions beyond the control of Better Concrete Coatings LLC.
AREAS NOT COVERED
This warranty does not apply to coatings installed on wooden steps or other non-concrete substrates, coated stairs, steps, stem walls, filled expansion joints, decorative caulking, or flexible joint materials. Due to their design and intended function, these areas are subject to greater movement, impact, and wear, which may affect the long-term performance and appearance of the coating. As a result, these surfaces and materials are specifically excluded from warranty coverage.
REQUIRED MAINTENANCE & OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain warranty coverage, the owner agrees to:
- Clean the floor regularly using only pH-neutral cleaners.
- Use soft microfiber mops or non-abrasive cleaning tools.
- Clean oil, fuel, and chemical spills within twenty (20) minutes.
- Avoid acidic, caustic, petroleum-based, or abrasive cleaning products.
- Lift heavy objects rather than dragging them across the coating.
- Use furniture sliders when moving heavy equipment.
- Maintain reasonable climate conditions in enclosed spaces.
- Promptly report any warranty concern after it is discovered.
- Prevent additional damage once a problem becomes apparent.
- Provide reasonable access for inspection and repair.
GARAGE FLOOR USAGE
Garage coatings are engineered for normal residential vehicle traffic. Repeated tire turning while the vehicle is stationary, aggressive steering, wheel spin, burnouts, drifting, excessive acceleration, hard braking, or repeated tire friction in the same location may cause premature coating wear, scratching, abrasion, or chipping.
To help minimize wear in these high-stress areas, Better Concrete Coatings LLC recommends using coating-safe tire runners or parking mats beneath vehicle tires, particularly for vehicles that are parked for extended periods or frequently enter and exit the garage.
Premature coating wear, chipping, or abrasion caused by repeated tire friction or failure to use reasonable protective measures in high-wear areas is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered under this warranty.
FLOOR MATS & STUDDED TIRES
Only coating-safe mats should be used. Rubber-backed mats, petroleum-based mats, or mats containing plasticizers may permanently stain or discolor the coating and are not covered under warranty.
Studded snow tires should never be parked or driven on coated surfaces. Failure to follow these maintenance requirements may void this warranty.
COSMETIC APPEARANCE
Minor cosmetic variations are a normal characteristic of floor coating systems and are not considered defects in materials or workmanship. This includes, but is not limited to, slight color variations, texture differences, changes in sheen, visible transitions between repaired and original coated areas, and natural aging differences that may occur over time. Warranty repairs are intended to restore functionality, durability, and protective performance and may not result in an exact match to the original color, texture, or appearance. Such cosmetic differences are considered normal and are not covered as warranty defects.
NON-POROUS SURFACES AND SLIP RESISTANCE
Floor coating systems installed by Better Concrete Coatings LLC create a substantially non-porous surface that may become slippery, particularly when wet or when exposed to water, oil, grease, snow, ice, cleaning products, chemicals, dust, or other contaminants. Although slip-resistant additives or textures may be available or incorporated into certain coating systems, Better Concrete Coatings LLC does not represent or warrant that any coated surface will be slip-proof or eliminate the risk of slips and falls. Customers are responsible for maintaining the coated surface in a clean and reasonably dry condition and promptly addressing spills and contaminants.

Certain repairs may require up to one hundred eighty (180) days to complete.
WARRANTY SERVICE CALL FEE
Better Concrete Coatings LLC reserves the right to charge a Warranty Service Call Fee for on-site inspections, evaluations, and warranty service visits. This fee helps offset travel, labor, vehicle, and dispatch expenses associated with sending service personnel to the job site.
If Better Concrete Coatings LLC determines that the issue is covered under this warranty due to a defect in workmanship or materials, the Warranty Service Call Fee may, at Better Concrete Coatings LLC’s sole discretion, be waived or credited toward the approved warranty repair. If the inspection determines that the condition is excluded from warranty coverage, the Warranty Service Call Fee remains non-refundable.
For properties located more than thirty-five (35) miles from Better Concrete Coatings LLC’s primary office, additional travel charges may apply. Any applicable fees will be disclosed and approved before scheduling.

Better Concrete Coatings LLC reserves the right to modify or update its warranty terms, maintenance requirements, and claim procedures at any time. The current warranty will be published on the Company’s website. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, changes to warranty coverage will apply to future contracts and will not reduce coverage applicable to previously executed contracts.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company’s members, owners, managers, employees, officers, and representatives shall not be personally liable for warranty obligations solely by reason of their relationship with the Company. If Better Concrete Coatings LLC is dissolved or permanently ceases operations, future warranty services shall be subject to applicable law and the Company’s remaining legal obligations.
